Caddo Lake Institute mourns the passing of Dwight K. Shellman, Jr. who, with Don Henley, founded CLI. Dwight passed away in Aspen, Colorado on March 21, 2012. He was the President of the Caddo Lake Institute from 1993 to 2006. Although many people have worked to ensure that Caddo Lake and its associated wetlands are protected for future generations, Dwight’s vision and tenacity were driving forces that overcame all obstacles. His legacy will endure as long as people love and benefit from Caddo Lake.
