Over 60 community members attended the World Wetlands Day meeting.

Caddo Lake Institute President Richard Lowerre made a presentation about the current state of the Caddo Lake Ramsar wetlands.

Karnack ISD Superintendent Cozetta Robinson and Gary Endsley of the TODAY Foundation discussed the Healthy Habitats project, which will prepare schoolchildren to manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of the Caddo Lake area and provide outdoor recreational activities for them and thier families.

Bob Pitman of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service spoke about efforts to combat Giant Salvinia at the lake.
